Smile 2

So, after what went down in the first “Smile” movie, Kyle ends up stuck with this nasty demon situation. He’s gotta pass on the trauma to someone else to be free of it, you know, like making someone experience something super intense like a murder or suicide. This creepy chain reaction hits Skye Riley, who’s this big-time popstar. One horrifying day, she watches her friend and dealer, Lewis, take his own life right in front of her. She has no clue she’s been marked by this nightmare.

Her world starts crumbling around her—messing up big time at public gigs is just the start. Morris enters the scene; he’s a nurse who kinda figures stuff out and wants to help her figure out what kind of supernatural mess she’s tangled in.

Poor Skye’s bombarded by fear and anxiety already thanks to being so famous—like fan chaos or having the media dig into all her dark secrets and past struggles with depression.

This horror flick dives deep into showbiz glamor but also exposes its fake smiling faces while darkness lurks underneath. Man, is it ever the perfect setting for that nasty “Smile” demon!
So, this movie has a wild twist at the end that’ll totally surprise you, kind of like what you’d see in an M. Night Shyamalan film.

Rosemarie DeWitt plays Skye’s mom, and she’s more focused on making money off Skye than really being there for her. It’s pretty messed up. Then you’ve got Naomi Scott as Skye. You might remember Naomi from Disney’s live-action Aladdin movie. While names like Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande have been in the spotlight, Naomi’s been more behind the scenes.

Naomi really shines in this role, diving deep into what it’s like to be a pop star dealing with intense anxiety and pressure. It brings back memories of Britney Spears’ public struggles or the drama in Vox Lux. You can feel that personal touch from Naomi that makes her character even more relatable and real.

In “Smile 2”, things amp up a bit with some bold moves — not as scary as the first movie but definitely intriguing. It looks like this might give Naomi’s career another boost, plus it feels like there’s room for another sequel down the line!
